Ingredients
3-1/2 to 4 pounds pork baby back ribs, cut into 1-rib portions
2 cups bottled picante sauce or salsa
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon quick-cooking tapioca
1 teaspoon ground ginger
Directions
1. Preheat broiler. Place ribs on the unheated rack of a broiler pan.
Broil 6 inches from the heat about 10 minutes or until brown, turning
once. Transfer ribs to a 3-1/2- to 6-quart crockery cooker.
2. In a medium bowl combine picante sauce or salsa, honey, tapioca, and
ginger. Pour sauce over ribs.
3. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 6 to 7 hours or on high-heat
setting for 3 to 3-1/2 hours. Skim off fat from sauce, if desired. Serve
sauce with ribs. Makes 10 to 12 appetizers.
