INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 pounds round steak or top round roast, trimmed and cut in strips
about 3/4-inch thick
1 cup chopped onions
2 carrots, sliced thinly
1 cup beef broth, from base or canned
1/4 cup red wine
1 cup bulgur
salt and pepper, to taste
PREPARATION:
Layer vegetables in Crock Pot; add beef strips to the pot. Pour broth
and wine over all and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Add bulgur and cook on
high until bulgur is tender, adding a little more broth or water if necessary.
