Chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe

Crispy Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons hot water
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
Cream butter.
Add sugar.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Add in vanilla.
Dissolve baking soda in hot water.
Add to batter alongwith salt.
Stir in flour, chips and nuts.
Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
Bake till edges are nicely browned i.

for about 10 minutes.
