1 lb. stew meat
2 potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 carrots, peeled and quartered
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 cup water
1 cup tomato juice
1 slice bread, cubed
2 tbsp tapioca
Salt and pepper to taste
Place all ingredients in a dutch oven. Combine well. Cover and cook at
250 degrees for 5 hours. Serves 4.
