1 lb. beef stew meat Roux: 2 tbsp. butter and 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour Combine all stew ingredients in a 6-quart crock pot; cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours. During last 1/2 hour of cooking time, melt butter and blend in flour until smooth. Stir mixture into stew; simmer for 30 minutes to thicken. Remove bay leaf before serving. Enjoy!
